The days are getting shorter and the nights longer, fallen leaves litter the ground; all signs announce that fall arrived a while ago. Autumn is considered by many to be the best season to train outdoors, however the decreased temperatures can act as an excuse to skip your training. Don’t let this happen! Athletic Republic in Toledo have prepared the following post containing some useful tips to stay fit during this season. ;

Find your Motivation ;

Once you set your goal, it will be easier for you to reach it. Create your schedule and start eating healthier. Stick to your training plan and focus on your progress. If you’re experiencing a lack of motivation, look at how far you’ve come so far and think about how great you’ll feel when you achieve your goals.

Equipment ;

“There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes”, ;as some people from Northern Europe might say, and this is completely true during this season. Remember to dress in layers and don’t forget to keep your hands and head warm by using gloves and a hat. Keep in mind that it’s possible that you will be running in the dark, so wear a reflective vest.

Staying hydrated during your training is fundamental to prevent cramps and other related problems. Drinking warm tea is also a good idea as it will protect your core temperature against the cold weather. Plus, green and black teas contain antioxidants that will help guard you against the flu and other seasonal diseases. ;

Your commitment to your sport shouldn’t be stopped by the weather or any other excuse, otherwise you can stagnate as an athlete. If you’re training for a race or an event, be sure to read this previous post containing some tips on getting ready for an athletic competition. ;
