Athletic Republic’s certified performance trainers have the passion and sports-science knowledge to safely improve your athleticism. Our more than 500 performance trainers are constantly furthering our proven methods to help athletes reach their goals.  Because we believe developing athletes is best done in small groups, we provide a trainer to athlete ratio of 1:5.  This allows the trainer to customize a program for each athlete’s individual strengths and weaknesses.

Jeff Seemann

Jeff has worked in the athletic performance business for the last 13 years.  For the first seven years he worked with the Mercy Health Care System and their Acceleration Program.  In 2007, the Mercy system dropped the Acceleration program and he purchased the program.  Now known as Athletic Republic Toledo, the performance training program has expanded many of its services.Jeff recently retired from the Sylvania School System as a physical education specialist after 35 years of teaching.  He also serves his church as athletic director at Sylvania St. Joseph Parish in Sylvania. These duties include implementing and maintaining the sports programs of the parish, including cross country, football, volleyball, basketball, track, and baseball. He is especially proud of developing the sportsmanship program, which looks to promote and develop the spiritual component of the athletic experience.  Jeff also teaches an exercise physiology and biomechanics class at the University of Toledo.Jeff has been married to Nadine for 33 years and has five children: Kelly, Mike, Erin, Dan, and John Paul one dog and two cats. Basketball, mountain biking, weight training, and reading books are activities that he pursues in his spare time. 

Josh Rush

Josh has worked at Athletic Republic Perrysburg as a trainer for eleven years.  Josh is a Level III certified trainer. He is a Bowling Green State University grad and did an internship at Athletic Republic Toledo eleven years ago.  Josh was a cross country runner in high school (North Baltimore).  Josh likes working with people of all ages and likes seeing people’s performance and confidence improvement.  Josh stays in shape by participating in outdoor sports including rock climbing, kayaking, hiking and cycling.
